our history

Clay County Fire Rescue Professionals, IAFF Local 3362, was chartered on February 28, 1991, to represent and support the professional firefighters and emergency service personnel of Clay County. Since its beginning, the Local has been built around mutual assistance, professionalism, unity, fellowship, and public education.

FOUNDED

Today, Local 3362 serves roughly 300 union members who work throughout Clay County Fire Rescue in fire suppression, emergency medical services, communications, fire prevention, training, and other public safety roles. The union provides its members with a collective voice in matters affecting workplace safety, wages, benefits, working conditions, professional standards, and the future of fire and EMS service in Clay County.

SERVING

Throughout its history, Local 3362 has worked to strengthen the fire rescue profession by advocating for fair treatment, safer working conditions, improved training, and a stronger connection between emergency responders and the community they serve. The Local continues to promote unity among its members while also supporting the citizens and visitors of Clay County through education, professionalism, and service.

More than three decades after being chartered, Clay County Fire Rescue Professionals, IAFF Local 3362, remains committed to the same principles it was founded on: standing together, protecting its members, improving the profession, and helping ensure high-quality emergency services for the people of Clay County.

LEGACY
